So last night kicked off the VBS season for the year in the Mohawk Valley with Bible Baptist Church in New Hartford’s Artic-themed Vacation Bible School. Right now we’ve called around and found about a handful of churches that are having VBS programs this summer and we’re going to make sure that you have everything you need to find one near you or one that interests you.
For those of you that have never been to a Vacation Bible School before, VBS has lots of singing, games, crafts and lessons that are lots of fun! They usually center around a given theme for the entire week. The theme drives everything from the snacks to the lessons, and they give children of all ages the opportunity to get together with friends to hear great stories from the Bible.
In the coming days we’ll be sharing information about the different VBS’s that are going on, tell you some about the history of Vacation Bible School, and hope to see you come out to one near you!
